Divas trešdaļas jauno eiropiešu ar savu darbu vēlas veicināt zaļās pārkārtošanās procesu. Taču 45 % Eiropas jauniešu trūkst vajadzīgo prasmju. Lai risinātu vides un klimata pārmaiņu problēmas, jauniešiem ir jāiegūst attiecīgas prasmes un zināšanas. Ar “Erasmus zaļo pilsētu” projektu ir iecerēts piedāvāt jauniešiem gan brīvprātīgo darba, gan apmaksātas stažēšanās iespējas vietējos videi draudzīgos projektos.
