Georg talks about his life: surviving the British bombardment of Aachen in the Second World War and supporting the cause of European integration, something he is doing today on the Board of Directors of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen. ‘My Story’, a European Parliament project, comprises hundreds of stories, documents, photographs and videos about the lives of people from all over Europe. It aims to show how closely Europe’s history and the lives of its citizens are intertwined.
