I was beaten by my husband but also by my parents-in-law for ten years. For all those years I never left the house except to go to work, and always accompanied by my husband. I‚Äôve really had enough. Every day I cry and think of my children. I am tired but I am going to win through. I managed the first step by coming to the refuge and a second one by finding work. I want to go on from there: get my children back, find a flat and have a quiet life. In the end it is me who is going to win, and not my husband.

The Women’s Rights and the Civil Liberties committees discussed a legislative initiative calling for a directive to establish the minimum rules concerning: the definition of the crime of gender-based cyber-violence and related sanctions; new measures to promote the prevention of this crime; and to ensure justice and support for victims. A panel was also organised for the yearly meeting on "Eliminating Violence against Women"which explored the current state of affairs in policy and practice in focused areas of gender-based violence.
