Písal sa rok 1989. Andrea mal sedem rokov a žil v mestečku Forte dei Marmi na talianskom pobreží Tyrrhenského mora. Začínal spoznávať svet. Spolu s rodinou cestoval po Taliansku aj Európe – precestoval ju z východu na západ aj zo severu na juh. Realitu hraníc tak videl na vlastné oči. Až sa jedného novembrového dňa roku 1989 jeho pohľad na Európu úplne zmenil. Keď padla noc, nastal v Európe zásadný obrat. Stovky príbehov, dokumentov, fotografií a videí, ktoré zverejnili ľudia z celej Európy. „Môj príbeh“ je projekt spolupráce Európskeho parlamentu a občanov, v ktorom sa história prelína so životnými príbehmi ľudí. Ennio, en medicinstuderende fra Italien, havde lige påbegyndt sit praktikophold på et hospital, da pandemien brød ud. Nærmest fra den ene dag til den anden forlod han sit liv som studerende og fik sin ilddåb ved covid-19-krisens frontlinje, hvor han hjalp mennesker i nød. For ham var valget klart.
