The EU Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine), launched in November 2022 for a period of two years, is designed to strengthen the military capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces so that they can defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders, and protect the civilian population.
