In the EP in Brussels, Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) vote on a draft resolution calling on the Council and European Commission to achieve a global ban on cosmetics testing on animals. Such a ban is already in force in the EU, but around 80 % of the world’s countries still allow animal testing and the marketing of cosmetics tested on animals. Adina-Ioana VĂLEAN, Chair of the EP ENVI Committee opens the vote, the results are: 63 in favour and 1 abstention.
