In the EU, one third of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence since the age of 15 and about 50 women lose their lives to domestic violence every week. Whilst indications suggest that more men than women are dying of COVID-19, the impact of the (short and longer term) socio-economic effects of COVID-19 fall disproportionately on women. This infoclip shows different professions carried out by women who have suffered directly or indirectly from the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic: care workers, nurses, laboratory assistant, department store cashier, market gardeners, collective catering staff, staff in charge of cleaning and disinfection, teachers and a mother doing home schooling.
