USA's præsident Barack Obama kalder BP's olieudslip for ”miljøets 9/11”. MEP'erne overvejer, i denne uge i Strasbourg, den trussel, som Europas 1.000 olieplatforme udgør.

Olieudslip er en advarsel til EU

Finansieringen af CAP i perioden efter 2013 vil blive baseret på det nuværendes udgiftsniveau, siger det italienske MEP og professor i landbrugsøkonomi. Reformerne vil skabe en CAP, der går videre end blot produktion og forbrugersikkerhed.
